I am Eric Belanger owner & artist of Art Tech Faux Finish.

I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, there I studied art for four years. After graduating I started making replica's of well known artworks on walls. One day opportunity knocked when someone who was familiar with my artwork asked me if I was interested in doing a faux wood finish inside his restaurant. Not really knowing how to do a faux wood finish I responded: Of course no problem. To my own surprise and to that of the owner of the restaurant the result was spectecular.

After that I was being referred to a number of other commercial and residential jobsites. I have been practicing this art form now for over 17 years. I truly believe that what makes you a good faux finisher is the curiosity to constantly try to discover new techniques and I can assure you that I am very curious person.

Eight years ago I started working for a faux finish company here in Las Vegas on a big project, I stayed with the company for four years. I found out that I was a lot more creative than that I could express in that job setting, So I decided to start my own business. With the love and support of my wonderful wife, customers, builders and contractors I started the business of my dreams. Now I can be as creative as I can possibly be.
